Mom’s Amazon Favorites: Oils, Herbs, Skin Care & More
At the end of 2022 Amazon’s revenue was nearly $514 billion, making it the world’s 2nd largest retailer. Like the 168 million US Amazon Prime customers, I spend a bit of time and money on this massive retailer’s website.
Fortunately, Amazon provides the opportunity for many small businesses to reach a wider customer base. Over the years I’ve discovered and researched a number of different small businesses and have become a regular customer via their Amazon storefronts. The vast majority of my Amazon favorites are from these small businesses.

Amazon Favorites for Essential Oils
Organic Basil, Sweet (Ocimum basilicum) from Plant Therapy is to me like a hug in a bottle, and like a long hug Sweet Basil is tension relieving. (Also direct.)
Organic Bergamot FCF (Citrus bergamia) from Plant Therapy is my favorite Bergamot essential oil. Not only is it beautiful aromatically, it’s safe for use on skin with risk of photosensitivity. (Also direct.)
Organic Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) from Plant Therapy is one of my top ten favorite essential oils. Its warming, fresh aroma and energy is often a component in my muscle and joint formulations. (Also direct.)
Organic Black Spruce (Picea mariana) from Plant Therapy is also one of my top ten favorite essential oils. It’s fresh, calming, and breath-opening. (Also direct.)
Organic Chamomile, Roman (Anthemis nobilis) from Plant Therapy is wonderful for skin and sleep support. (Also direct.)
Organic Chamomile, German (Matricaria recutita / Chamomila recutita) from Plant Therapy is like Chamomile Tea, calming and soothing to skin and psyche. (Also direct.)
Clementine (Citrus clementina) from Edens Garden is a fresh zesty citrus that is invigorating and happy.
Coconut CO2 (Cocos nucifera) from Edens Garden has a lovely coconut aroma and is great for adding that touch of the tropics to lip balms and lotions.
Organic Eucalyptus globulus from Plant Therapy is my go-to for diffuser blends and shower steams when we have a cold in the household! (Also direct.)
Organic Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) from Plant Therapy is fresh and clean and has a calming grounding energy that I love. And so does our dog, Kiko! (Also direct.)
Organic Frankincense Frereana (Boswellia frereana) from Plant Therapy is fruity, floral, and clean. It’s a beautiful skin-supporting essential oil. (Also direct.)
Frankincense Sacra (Boswellia sacra) from Edens Garden is breath opening and resinous, beautifully supportive to overall wellness.
Organic Egyptian Geranium (Pelargonium asperum) from Plant Therapy has a more herbaceous floral aroma than Rose Geranium which I really appreciate. I like combining it with PT’s Lavender essential oil to put on my dryer balls. (Also direct.)
Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) from Plant Therapy has an intensely lemon aroma that is uplifting and positive, beautiful for air cleansing. (Also direct.)
Organic Palmarosa (Cymbopogon martinii) from Plant Therapy has a pronounced rosy aroma and just a drop will enhance the soul-soothing nature of blends. (Also direct.)
Organic Pink Grapefruit (Citrus x paradisi) from Plant Therapy is another one of my top ten favorite essential oils. It is sweet, citrusy, and fresh and makes every blend a happy one. (Also direct.)
Organic Lemon (Citrus x limon) from Plant Therapy is my favorite for Green Cleaning (along with PT’s Tea Tree). I add a couple of drops to my dish washer before running it. (Also direct.)
Lemon (Citrus x limon) from Edens Garden is also an excellent Lemon essential oil for Green Cleaning!
Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) from Plant Therapy has a beautiful clean lavender aroma, more lavendery, I think, than true Lavender! (Also direct.)
Organic Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) from Plant Therapy is my go to Lavender for calming blends. (Also direct.)
Lavender, sustainable (Lavandula angustifolia) from Plant Therapy is one I love to add a drop or two of to my dryer balls! (Also direct.)
Distilled Lime (Citrus x aurantifolia) from Edens Garden is a sparkling citrus. Just a drop added to a blend makes it dance!
Organic Mandarin, Green (Citrus nobilis) from Plant Therapy has a deep citrusy aroma and a calming energy. I like to combine it with PT’s Lavender is sleep-supporting blends. (Also direct.)
Pink Pepper (Schinus molle) from Edens Garden is at once fruity and spicy. It’s one of my favorite essential oils.
Organic Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) from Plant Therapy is energizing and clean. I love using it in kitchen cleaning blends along with PT’s Lemon. (Also direct.)
Organic Tangerine (Citrus reticulata) from Plant Therapy is my favorite bright citrus essential oil and definitely one of my top ten. (Also direct.)
Organic Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) from Plant Therapy is my go-to for cleaning, especially when combined with PT’s Lemon. (Also direct.)
Organic Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) from Plant Therapy is rich and grounding. I love adding a touch to handcrafted perfume as a beautiful base note. It’s also a featured essential oil in my skin and psyche nourishing Scorpio’s New Moon lotion. (Also direct.)
