7 Ways to Use Peppermint Hydrosol

Hydrosol Storage
I highly recommend pure hydrosols that don’t contain any additives for skin care, oral care, ingestion, and aromatherapy. While most hydrosols will last at least a year, the best place to store them is in the refrigerator. If you remove the sprayer/cap, avoid touching it with your hands or to surfaces to avoid accidental contamination.

Gentle Space Freshening
Spritzing Peppermint hydrosol around your space is one of the easiest ways to naturally cleanse energy and create an uplifting atmosphere. Combine Peppermint hydrosol with other hydrosols, like Blood Orange, Lavender, or Sage for a custom blend.
Have a heat headache? Spritz your shower stall with Peppermint hydrosol, then take a cool shower, allowing the water to hit the top of your head and run down the back.
Post-Sun Relief Spray
Combine Peppermint hydrosol with Aloe Vera gel, Lavender hydrosol, and a bit of Glycerin, for a skin-soothing, cooling, after-sun spray. It instantly cools sun-kissed skin and helps promote healing. (Click here for more info on this blend)

Cooling Facial Mist
Peppermint hydrosol provides an immediate cooling sensation via the activation of TRPM8 cold-sensitive receptors on the skin. Keep a bottle in the refrigerator; a quick mist to the face and neck offers instant relief after a workout or during moments of overheating.
Soothing Compress for Itchy Skin
Because of its anti-inflammatory and cooling properties, Peppermint hydrosol is excellent for calming mild skin irritation, insect bites, or heat rashes. Saturate a clean, lint-free cloth or cotton pad with the chilled hydrosol and apply it as a compress to the affected area for 5–10 minutes.
Mouth Refresher
Provided you’re using a high-quality, food-grade, and preservative-free Peppermint hydrosol (like you’ll find at Aromatics International), a small amount can be used as a mouth rinse. It leaves the breath feeling clean and provides a cooling, herbaceous taste that’s much more subtle and natural than commercial mouthwashes.

Focus Enhancer
Not as powerful aromatically as the essential oil, Peppermint hydrosol has a gentle way of supporting focus. A quick spritz around your workspace can provide an uplifting, clarifying aromatic lift, perfect for a long day at your desk.
Scalp Clarifying Treatment
Peppermint hydrosol is invigorating for the scalp. Mist the hydrosol generously onto your scalp and massage in. It stimulates circulation and provides a refreshing sensation. It helps balance excess oil production and support a healthier scalp environment.
BONUS USE: Peppermint Hydrosol Spritzer!
Use a pure fresh Peppermint hydrosol (preservative-free) in sparkling water, still water, or tea for a refreshing surprise. Just a couple of spritzes in 8 ounces of water will do!
